Battery
From PyroGuide
A battery is a collection of pyrotechnic devices, for example a group of mortars (aerial shell battery) or a number of roman candles (roman candle battery) fused together in such a way that they are fired all at once or within a short period of time.
A small, reloadable battery (1) can be constructed of a solid block of HD-polyethylene of desired dimensions. The mortar holes are drilled to a desired caliber leaving ~5mm material as mortar bottoms, then 2mm ignition holes are drilled trough. The latter are filled with ignition paste and interconnected with visco. The ignition bridge should have firewall arrangement (2) to prevent shortcut ignition. The mortars are finally loaded with lifting charge and an aerial shell. The block should be fixed firmly into a sturdy plywood frame. The project might be illegal in your area, and must be carried out with great expertice. The battery depicted, was loaded with bird bangers, other types of pyrotechnic ammunition and ferrotitanium+black powder+CMC comets with a lifting charge of 5 grains of 4F blackpowder, and was fired succesfully.
The arrangement of pyrotechnic ammuninition is shown on a picture (3) (FeTi comets are in the holes that seem blank).
